A) Installation 1. Create folder for program executable PEAS.EXE e.g. \PEAS 2. Copy PEAS.EXE to this folder 3. See example text file peas_cfg.txt and create your own to work with separate folders for input/output data. Comments and notes start with #. Folder name must start with \ , e.g. \peas_output_pictures ....... a folder for saved pictures. The full path to this folder - c:\peas\peas_output_pictures. 4. Start PEAS.EXE and folders declared in peas_cfg.txt are created (if they don’t exist). Exit PEAS.EXE and copy support files to appropriate folders – help files to e.g. \help and input files with acquired data and to e.g. \input_data . 5. If there is no peas_cfg.txt in peas.exe starting folder,program suppose that all support files are located in starting folder. 6. Finally, peas.exe may start everywhere, with no support files. In this case program language is czech, and all files created by PEAS.EXE are stored in PEAS.EXE starting folder. (B) Support files peas_sablony.txt - contains templates for input data files. Template file is a simple textfile created after first start of PEAS.EXE. peas_cfg.txt – contains folder structure definition peas_lng.txt – contains language mutations peas_help_cz.txt – Czech help for templates creation (C) start notes 1. Click flag icon in right corner and select program language ( Czech, Slovak, French and English are available for now) 2. Click input data button and select data source file. 3. Choose correction parameters if necessary : (1) Count resolution of CCD camera in [arcsec/pixel] using : - size of pixel [um] e.g. 11 um (resolution 320x240 pixel for ToUcam PRO II) - focus distance of used telescope [mm] (2) Declination of taken object in grades: minutes: seconds (3) Maximal period of gear RA [sec] - usually one turn (360°) of screw gear Decimal separator may be dot (.) or comma (,), never mind windows international settings. No correction parameters - program uses default values. Wrong entry clear edit field. 4. You can place up to 15 text labels on one chart ( input data or FFT ). Click right mouse button. During entering label is possible to move label with mouse (move cursor to label,click left mouse button, hold and move label ). Press ENTER to finish label caption editing. 5. Files with suffix _inp_data contain input data after transformation by template for selected pointing program and application of correction factors. See yellow information window for some useful information. 6. Sampling period is arithmetical average of time periods between samples. 7.
